We don’t listen to Mötley Crüe too much, but that’s not the point! Musicians are creative, and creativity invents new paths. When you’re looking for inspiration for your business or personal life, listen to music that inspires you and pumps you up! That music may even be relaxing music. Whatever it is, be sure to listen to it at some point during the day. Unless you hate all music, this habit will help your business, microbusiness, and personal life!

My first in person book sale was one-of-a-kind. It was the first warm, beautiful day in Bloomington, Indiana. Me, My wife Nichole, and my friend Jay sat outside doing our best to sell my new book, Make Money with a Microbusiness.  People were interested, but nobody picked up a copy for the first two hours. Then we met a really great guy named Al. He has been supporting Indiana University football for 60 years. Read more about him here.

Naturally, he’s a supportive guy. He’s known as ‘Big Al Carpenter’ here in Bloomington, Indiana. Big Al was on staff for the Indiana University football team for 10 years when Lee Corso was the head coach. He also shared some helpful life and business advice with us. I’m so happy I was able to meet Big Al, and I’m so thankful he picked up a copy of Make Money with a Microbusiness!

I NEVER watch the advertisements before watching a YouTube video. This commercial has been the ONLY exception for me. It’s a brilliant ad. Most marketers need to retrain their brains and make commercials more like this one. Nice work, Virgin Mobile!

A Change of Plans…

According to a Forbes article published two days ago, 2 million Americans are quitting their jobs each month. Why? Because of office politics, a lack of freedom, a lack of recognition, horrible bosses, and the desire to start their own ventures.

Further, it’s easier than ever to start a business. With unlimited access to apps and tools online, we’re learning that we can post ads and find freelance work along with bigger opportunities quickly. Quitting isn’t the risk it used to be.

A change of plans is no longer a bad thing. We must evolve with technology and society. It’s changing faster than ever, which means we must change faster than ever. Individuals who start a high volume of businesses are no longer unusual. Folding a business or quitting a job for new endeavors is often necessary.
